Senior Product Manager - Data
We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager – Data to lead how Avinode develops data products that enable data-informed decisions across the business and power smarter, data-driven experiences for our customers. Over the past two years, we’ve laid the foundation for a modern data platform, built on Databricks, and are now ready to scale it.
In this role, you will shape our data product strategy, align it with company and product goals and lead the direction of our data team. You’ll work closely with engineers, analysts, product managers, and senior stakeholders not just to deliver data capabilities, but to influence how we organize and invest in data across the company. As a Senior Data Product Manager, you’ll raise the bar for how we think about data, bringing experience, perspective, and a strong product voice to the table. You’ll be at the intersection of product and platform, driving the use of data in customer-facing features like recommendations, automation, and predictive workflows, to create an intelligent experience that guides users to the right outcome at the right time.
You will be a part of a warm, inclusive, and supportive workplace, where a bit of quirky humor is always welcome. Are you up for this exciting challenge?
Location: Gothenburg, Sweden or Remote in Sweden.
What you will be doing
We expect our product teams to take full ownership of their product and empower them to take decisions that result in products that delight our customers and work for our business. As a Senior Product Manager who has been there and done that, you will be a leader in elevating product mindset across the organisation, as well as a mentor to your fellow Product Managers. With a global product and offices in Sweden and the US, communication is vital. Your ability to run meetings and workshops with both physical and digital participants will be greatly appreciated.
- Own the strategy and roadmap for our internal data platform and products, grounded in business needs and aligned with company and product goals
- Set clear direction and priorities for the data team to scale our platform and unlock business value
- Drive delivery of platform capabilities, integrations and improvements together with your team
- Identify opportunities in collaboration with stakeholders, turning data into scalable solutions that deliver customer and business value
- Shape how we organize around data, informing tooling choices, governance models, and how data is used across teams
- Drive smarter, guided customer experiences by providing the right data capabilities and infrastructure
- Advance our ability to support machine learning and AI use cases
- Expand how we capture and connect data from our own products and external sources to close gaps and support broader use cases
What you will bring along
You have worked as a Product Manager on data products at a SaaS company; even better if that was a B2B product. You are deeply familiar with modern data architecture, pipelines and tooling. You are comfortable in the face of ambiguity, and know how to test and evaluate to find a great solution without knowing what is right. You are an excellent problem solver and love being creative in your everyday work. Your positive energy is contagious! You know how to combine data, intuition, and deep empathy for the user.
- 5+ years of Product Management in a software company, ideally focused on data products, platforms or internal tooling
- Strong understanding of modern data architecture, pipelines, and tooling. We use Databricks and Azure, but experience with any modern stack is welcome
- You are an excellent communicator and you are fluent in English. We don’t require any Swedish language competence, as English is our corporate language.
- Strong stakeholder management skills. You understand the needs of the business as well as the needs of your customers, and are skilled in having tough conversations about competing priorities and finding win-win solutions. Confidence and credibility in working with senior stakeholders to shape strategic direction around data use
- Skilled at leading technical delivery through clear prioritization, structured thinking, and collaboration
- Confident working with SQL and reasoning about data models
- Familiarity with how data powers machine learning use cases is a plus
- Experience working in a distributed, remote-first team environment
